His patience and outstanding PT knowledge has seen me succeed in every goal I have set him, and there have been a fair few over the years – reducing my body fat percentage to 10% just to see if I could, then train me to be a Bikini Competitor, oh and by the way I have booked into a comp in 8 weeks time – doable dan?, a 24hr - 4 peaks climbing challenge, to become a Kettle bell legend (this is an ongoing goal that will take some time on my part), I always throw in the faithful ‘I wanna be ripped for summer’ every spring too and my current goal to cycle from North wales to South wales in 3 days for charity.
On a serious note, Dan has taught me that consistency is key and it has actually been easy to remain consistent with Dan’s programming. He writes my programs to incorporate the main compound exercises for S&C training that I need, but knows I find these movements a tad mundane after time. He balances this by using his vast knowledge and S&C imagination to create new and exciting ‘finishers’ to end my sessions. Always different, always challenging and always pushing me to my limits. These leave me a sweat-ball mess where I finish each session on a high with the endorphins fully flowing.
For fear of sound cheesy – Dan really is the man.

‘Ive been working with Dan for a few months now and I’ve not looked back once . Trusting him was one of the best decisions I’ve made regarding my training and health since I first joined the gym way back when . He seems to know what I need before I do sometimes and his compassion is endless. Dan is an extremely knowledgeable and approachable coach, who took into account all of my goals, and limitations when designing my programs.The goal of my program was to add lean size, specifically focussing on arm size as it's a weak area. During the months I've worked with Dan the training and diet regime has helped me gain 3kg of lean mass (something I was never previously able to do) and added visible size to arms as planned. I would highly recommend Dan to anyone looking to improve their physique or performance.

I approached Dan recently with some very specific and challenging requests to fulfill, luckily he likes a challenge!

I had been struggling with trying to balance cycling regularly and improving performance on the bike, whilst still doing strength sessions in the gym and getting stronger and shapelier.

I’ve had loads of PT’s over the years and was someone that ‘knew what I was doing’ when it comes to the gym, but it just wasn’t working for me recently.

I was cycling reasonably well but always having doms from leg weights, which wasn’t bringing out the best in my cycling, so somewhat defeating the object.

I was also developing a puny upper body as per the cyclist look. Being 41 and paranoid of muscle loss, I was desperate to keep muscle, even build some if possible, continue with endurance, not be sore, not flare up old back and hamstring injuries....oh and to do some pull ups!! Some ask!

My block of PT with Dan has been brilliant, so much so I have extended it and just don’t want it to end.

Everything has felt so specific to my likes, my sport, my goals and injury restrictions.
I’ve looked forward to every session, I feel like I can do moves that have always defeated me or caused me niggles. I can even do a pull-up!
As for the cycling, well I’m quicker than I’ve ever been and that has to have something to do with the training!

I’ve never felt sore, something I would have previously associated with not training hard enough, but I’m happy with my shape so something is definitely working.
It’s totally changed my mindset to strength training and helped me find the perfect balance. Can’t thank you enough Dan 👍🏼

I've dipped in and out of sport from a young age where my highest achievement was gained in athletics representing Wales in the 100 / 200 meters. I'd felt like id become slightest disengaged with my training and lacked focus. So after a chance meeting with Dan in the gym signed myself up to competing in the UKBFF. Dan immediately made me feel motivated and ready for a new fitness challenge.
I spent 16 weeks following a fitness and diet programme that Dan had written and tailored for me to compete on stage. I dropped 8% body fat and gained lean muscle. I placed 3rd in the Welsh UKBFF and gained a place to compete in the British championships.
Dan is very personable, incredibly knowledgable and passionate about what he does. I felt Dan was realistic in his goal setting and considered my life style when devising the programme. I have two young children and work so this had to be factored in with the amount and times I was training.
For anyone thinking of training with Forbes Performance, I'd say give it a go! Dan definitely sets you up to succeed. He's realistic and fun.
